Absa Cape Epic – Stage 6

It was another challenging day in the saddle for Team Meerendal during Stage 6 of the 2015 Absa Cape Epic. The day started with rain and ended in searing heat as they completed the shortest Stage with 71km and 2000m of climbing.
Jochen Käss and Daniel Geismayr of “Team Meerendal Centurion Vaude” finished in 10th position in the Men’s Category but hold on to 9th position overall in the General Classification.
Esther Süss and Alice Pirard of “Team Meerendal Wheeler” had a late start after Esther felt ill overnight but finished in a respectable 9th position on the day.
Bärti Bucher and Heinz Zörweg of “Team Meerendal BIXS KTM” stormed to yet another win and are within touching distance of the Grand Masters Category win tomorrow.
It all comes to a close tomorrow as Riders make their way home to Meerendal Wine Estate with a distance of 92km and 1500m of climbing.
